What we do
Guided by the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understanding that every community and organisation has unique strengths and challenges. We take a collaborative approach, through first listening and learning your organisation, how you work and your goals. Then we design a tailored approach to acheive your goals - aligned with your organisation’s culture and values. Working together we can ensure rangatahi are engaged learners who attend class to gain the skills they need to thrive in education and beyond.
Our services
Decades of experience working successfully with second chance or failed learners has taught us that with the right approach - everyone is capable of reading and writing well.
Poor attendance can be due to a complex range of factors including challenges at home, socio-economic barriers and wider community influences. However, there are ways that education and schools can be structured to support engagement of all learners.
Supporting community education pathways through identifying gaps in learning opportunities and sourcing provider delivery. Deliver career coaching clinics within schools and outside of school for private, school and youth service providers.
We bring a deep understanding of PTE requirements from accreditation and funding, this enables us to write and review the policies, processes and structures needed to fulfil funding, audit and operational compliance.
Meet our director - Gill Brocas
With a track record of using education as a tool to support setting rangatahi up with the skills they need to thrive and succeed in work and the community, Gill knows how to design programmes that work to accelerate learning outcomes for rangatahi.
To achieve this she draws on her extensive experience which includes, building literacy and confidence in learners in secondary school, Polytech and PTE settings - including with rangatahi learning programmes under MSD contracts.
As a senior leader and manager, Gill has supported educators to understand how to engage at risk rangatahi, who have little to no trust in the system. She also has a deep understanding of the systems, processes and policies needed to be a robust tertiary education provider and how to set up a PTE.
Gill understands the value of bringing education to the community, setting up learning hubs in communities with hard to reach rangatahi, for example, Ford Block, Rotorua, Kawerau and Ōpotiki.
